Club Update: Corona-virus

UPDATE : 21/07/2020

Due to the uncertainty surrounding the ongoing global pandemic, Stafford Folk Club will temporarily halt, until the organisers feel that the running of the club is possible, safe and viable.

We will aim to update as things become clearer. Thank you for your understanding.

We are all aware of the Corona Virus outbreak, and the various restrictions that are being put in place.

Sadly, Stafford Folk Club s not immune from this epidemic and we have had to make some changes to our schedule.

Following concern from both our audience members and future guests, the next two events have been rescheduled.

John Kirkpatrick will now be on October 22nd, 2020, NOT on 26th March, and Grannys Attic will now be on 28th January 2021, NOT on 23rd April.

We would like to thank both above guests for their understanding and patience, and we also thank Terry and Dee at the Bird in Hand for heir enormous help in organising this.

Those people who have bought tickets for the two above events can claim a refund through Eventbrite or your purchased tickets will be accepted at the rescheduled dates if you would prefer to hold on to them.

To claim a full refund please follow this advice:

To request a refund, go to Tickets in your Eventbrite account (go here if you’ve never logged in before), find your order, then select “Request a Refund.” Your organiser should respond within 1 week (2 business days if you paid using PayPal) and when issued, refunds can take up to 7 business days to show on your account .

These are difficult times for almost everyone, particularly performing artists and venue hosts, however, there are a few things you can do to help a little if you feel so inclined.
Firstly, a Facebook page has been set up to help musicians, this looks a very interesting enterprise whereby you can bid for items that performers are selling – see it here on Facebook ‘Folk Corona – fundraising auction’

The other thing you can do is support the venues that host Folk Music sessions, in our case, The Bird in Hand. This town centre pub offers the finest selection of real ales and ciders and always has a fantastic menu of fine food available, please continue to patronise this pub, they need and deserve your custom, and you will be guaranteed a warm welcome.

Hopefully, things will be back to normal within a few months, but in the meantime, please take good care of yourselves and we hope to see you at our event in June.

The situation is under constant review, so keep your eye on this page for the latest information.

Thanks for your continued support

Stafford Folk Club team.
